Confirming Your Session

Once your session is booked and your 50% deposit has been paid,  you will receive a booking confirmation email and we will then confirm our session location. Your remaining package fee will be due after the session, before delivery of images.

Family, Maternity, Couple & Headshot

These sessions are held outdoors at a chosen location around the Brisbane Southside and Ipswich, such as a park, forest or lake. I hold these sessions in the late afternoons around 4-5pm, due to these being the best times to catch the most ideal, beautiful natural lighting.

Your photoshoot is the perfect excuse to dress up!

It isn’t always necessary to perfectly co-ordinate everyone’s outfits, although attention should be paid to what everyone wears to make sure that there are not too many clashing colours or patterns.

That being said, coordinated, neutral coloured outfits do look great if that’s the look you’d like to go for.

Newborn

Getting photos of your newborn is an exciting time! When booking your newborn session, you will have the option of an in studio session, or an outdoor lifestyle type session.

When preparing your baby for the session, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Newborn sessions can be done anytime up to four weeks, with the most ideal age being one-two weeks. That’s when they are in their sleepiest stage and more able to be posed for great images.

All props are supplied, but if there is any specific outfit or prop you were wanting in the images, you are more than welcome to bring it along.

Try to keep your baby awake for about one hour beforehand if possible, so they are nice and sleepy during the session.

Make sure the baby has a full tummy before you arrive, but also be prepared to feed the baby during the session by bringing a bottle or breastfeeding. It’s also ideal to bring a pacifier if you use them, to help settle the baby.

Usually half the session involves feeding, settling and posing the baby and the other half is capturing those adorable images.

Even if your baby is usually hard to settle and takes a while, don't let that stop you from bringing your little one in for a session. We will work together and get those images you've always wanted!

Wardrobe Tips

Here is a little bit of info to help you with choosing your outfits for the session –

The most important thing is wear something you feel confident and comfortable in!

I usually recommend sticking to just a few different colours for everyone’s outfits, and not involving too many different patterns that may clash together.

You may also want to choose garments that are more on the neutral side, without too many slogans or overly trendy pieces involved.

These tips will help to avoid any distractions from the main focus of the image – you and your family, and help to ensure they remain timeless.

After Your Session

I'm sure you are super keen to see your images! After your session is done, I will start the editing process, which will take about 7 days. Then your images will be uploaded onto your online viewing gallery, where they will all be instantly downloadable.

You can also purchase prints and canvas prints of any of your images. When you have received your gallery, you will be able to browse print and canvas size options and purchase through the online store.
